JT Inglis & Sons Ltd - Fake Job (Money Mule Scam)

The following is an example email for this fake job, otherwise known as a money mule scam. Please forward all fake job emails to scams@fraudwatchinternational.com

Dear Sir/Madam,
   I am Peter Harris the Senior Funds Facilitator for JT Inglis & Sons
Ltd.  We are a textile manufacturer/supplier based out of Dundee,
Scotland specializing in military applications, mainly custom tentage
and tarps.  Our firm takes orders for many different kinds of textiles
for customers and vendors all over the world. Currently, our marketing
department is hosting trade shows throughout the United States in
Chicago, New York, Texas, California and Florida to broaden our
International client base.  These trade shows run through July and we
need some help.

  At these trade shows, we take orders from potential new clients.  Some
of these clients order our "Product Test Packages".  Since some of these
clients will never order again, we employ people in the United States to
handle the payments from these business men and organizations. Doing it
this way is easier than setting up accounts for them with banking
institutions just for one purchase. That's why I am emailing you today.
The funds that are paid by the clients for the Product Test Packges,
which cost the clients $995, are paid by money orders or cashier's
check. Because of the large fees levied upon us to accept funds from the
United States(in some cases, almost 40%) and the amount of time it takes
for the money to clear to our accounts, we are creating a small network
of sub contracted employees that will receive these funds for us and
disperse them to our firm, after their wages and all transfer fees have
been deducted of course.  Individuals that are chosen for this position
will be paid 15% of each payment that is processed.  But for your
initial test package payment, I am authorised to increase that wage.

 Because of the small amounts that are involved with the payments for the
test packages that we sell, we are going to pay you $300 to help us get
these transactions completed. Please understand that we are selling
hundreds of these packages each week at the trade shows and we are
looking for only 24 qualified people for this opportunity. As soon as
your first transaction is completed, we will set you up to receive
payments on a daily basis....averaging 1 to 3 a day.  The $300 that you
are being paid is only for your first transaction. On these rest of the
test package payments, you will be paid 15%. That is about $150 for each
one.  Since we are sending you 5 to 15 per week, you can make over $2,000
per week while our trade shows are producting orders. And if you are
chosen to become a full time payment fascilitator for us, you can make 2
to 3 times that amount. The 2 qualifications to get that position are
fast completed transactions and good communication with us. Reminder: You
will be responsible for reporting and claiming this income on your taxes
if you wish.
 The task that you have to perform for us to complete your initial
transaction is simple.

1. You will receive payment via USPS from our clients in the form of money
orders or cashier's check.
2. Cash the payment at your bank or check cashing outlet.
3. Deduct $300 which will be your agreed portion of the payment.  ALSO
deduct $95 for the fees associated with sending the remaining funds ($600)
to us.  The fees are about $60...so the rest you can keep for your time.
4. Forward balance after deduction of your percentage to the office you
will be instructed to send payment to (Payment is to be forwarded either
by Money Gram or Western Union Money Transfer).

QUESTIONNAIRE
You do not have to go out as you will work as an independent contractor
right from your home office. Being a sub contractor for us won't interfere
with your existing job or lifestyle. Note that, if finally approved as our
Representative, you are entitled to a very nice income.  You will be paid
15% on any amount you receive from customers who are making payments for
outstanding invoices on behalf of the company. This means that you will
make between $2500 and $4500 per week if you are chosen to be one of our
payment fascilitators.  And as mentioned before, the 2 qualifications to
get that position are fast completed transactions and good communication
